The other agencies are the Department of State Services, DSS; National Drug Law Enforcement Agency [NDLEA], and National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP.

At the closing session of the training, Herbert promised that adequate training will be offered to staff of  the EFCC and other agencies  on request.

“What we do is, on request, we make proposals and send experts to train Nigerian officers in these fields, and the course today is about operative analysis and the techniques, and I have heard from the participants that they found this course interesting and supportive for their daily work.

“We are partners and we assist the Nigeria police and other agencies to know what training they need and we send experts”, he said.

The training:  ‘Basics of Operational Analysis’ was geared towards equipping investigators with the right analytical skills for better performance in investigations and crime detection.

It commenced on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, and lasted seven days.

EFCC’s Head of Operations in Lagos, Mr. Ilyasu Kwarbai, gave rave reviews of the training and commended the German government for offering the participants the opportunity.

According to him, “analysis is very important when it comes to investigating economic and financial crimes because you need to be able to analyse documents gotten from other institutions during the course of investigations.

Other officials at the certificate presentation ceremony are:  German course facilitator, Mr. Simon B. Otto and The German Police Liaison Officer Mr. Dominik Muller.
