Sequel to yesterday’s arrest, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] has re-invited the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio for further questioning.

The media world was set aglow on Friday when the news of the arrest of Senator Akpabio hit the stands over alleged multi-billion naira fraud.

Elombah.com gathered that the commission is accusing Akpabio of embezzling N108.1 billion of public funds while serving as the governor of his state between 2007 and 2015.

The EFCC  confirmed that Akpabio is in their custody and is being interrogated by elite unit of the commission’s crime busters.

Furthermore, an inside information has squealed to Elombah.com that Akpabio’s Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] may meet tonight over arrest and quizzing of Akpabio.

The meting was scheduled for an unknown time and venue.

More details will be provided as they unfold.
