Gov. Bindow to reposition Adamawa civil service for better performance Gov. Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa on Tuesday urged Dr Loius Mandama, new Head of Service to use his wealth of experience in repositioning the state civil service.

Bindow gave the advice while speaking to the Senior Civil Servants of the Kilba extraction who paid him a thank you visit in Government House Yola.

Our correspondent reports that the new head of service is of the Kilba extraction from Hong local government area in Adamawa

The governor underscored the importance of the civil servants in his administration, adding that he would reposition it for better service delivery.

He also reminded the civil servants of their contribution for his emergence as the governor of the state.

He gave assurance that his administration would give premium attention to the welfare of the civil servants.

He also promised them of making salaries of all civil servants a first line charge in his administration.

“I want to urge our new head of service to use his wealth of experience and exposure in repositioning our civil service.

“We considered him most qualified to hold the exhalative position in the civil service due to his rich track records as he worked in different ministries as permanent secretary and as the only permanent secretary who attended the National Institute for Strategic Studies (NIPSS).

“We have appointed you to use your wealth of experience in repositioning our civil service for better service delivery.

“On our part, we will continue to give premium attention to the welfare of our civil servants.

“We must pay them dearly for their contribution to my emergence as the governor of the state, therefore, their role cannot just go in vein,’’ He said.

Earlier, Mr Kennedy Batimaus, Deputy Permanent Secretary and the leader of the delegation said that their visit was to thank the governor for elevating their tribe’s man for the position of Head of Service.

Batimaus gave assurance that the entire civil servants of the Kilba extraction would stand by their brother to succeed.

He also assured the governor of their continued loyalty and support to his administration.

Recalled that the new head of service was the former permanent secretary ministry of Live Stock Development.

His appointment was sequel to the retirement from service by  Alhaji Musa Kaibo, former head of service who retired after 35 years in service.
