Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration for driving transformative development, urging public support for his 2027 re-election.
During Tuesday’s Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway inspection, Idris highlighted unprecedented initiatives, crediting Tinubu’s leadership.
Accompanied by Works Minister Dave Umahi, Budget Minister Atiku Bagudu, and State Works Minister Muhammad Bello-Goronyo, the governor toured the project.
He emphasized collaborative efforts between federal and state officials, underscoring the highway’s potential to boost economic growth and regional connectivity.
Governor Idris emphasized Kebbi’s unwavering respect for President Tinubu, declaring, “We take his leadership seriously.”
Highlighting transformative progress, he praised the administration’s unprecedented initiatives, noting, “Such achievements were unimaginable here before.”
He further noted that the president’s efforts have directly addressed the yearnings and aspirations of Kebbi residents.
The governor reiterated his commitment to supporting the president’s re-election campaign in 2027, emphasizing that the people of Kebbi are appreciative of the development projects brought to the state under Tinubu’s leadership.
“By God’s grace, the people of Kebbi will support him come 2027,” he assured.
Governor Idris actively committed to fostering an enabling environment for HITECH, which handles the Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway. Furthermore, he prioritized streamlined collaboration to ensure the project’s timely and effective completion.He expressed delight that President Tinubu had personally assured him of the project’s continuation during a recent meeting.
He revealed the president singled him out, stating, “The Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway will stay, prioritizing national connectivity and economic growth.”
Works Minister Dave Umahi commended Governor Idris for consistently supporting federal projects, emphasizing collaboration’s importance. Furthermore, he stated, “Your governance excellence and work with past leaders deserve recognition—God will honor you.”
Additionally, Umahi clarified Tinubu’s legacy projects span all six geopolitical zones, ensuring balanced development. He applauded Idris for aligning with the president’s vision.
Notably, the Sokoto-Badagry Highway aims to boost regional trade. Idris vowed to prioritize such initiatives, stressing, “Leadership means delivering tangible progress to citizens.”
