The Peoples Democratic Party led government in Delta State, under the command of governor Ifeanyi Okowa, in a draconian style, today disrupted the free medical outreach organised by Diaspora Medics 4 Good Governance in collaboration with Doctors 4 Peter Obi in Ogbogologo market, Delta State
The free medical outreach which was organised to reach out to Nigerians who are having health challenges in the State, was abruptly disrupted after the chairman of Oshimili South Local Government Area of the State, Obi Kelvin Ezenyili sent the market chairman and representatives from the council headquarters to enforce the immediate stoppage.
The medical team while speaking with News Band earlier, said they were forced to end the outreach to avoid any form of confrontation that could lead to hostile situation.
Confirming the disruption, Diaspora Medics 4 Governance said, “We wish to announce that DM4GG sponsored free medical outreach at Ogbonologo market Delta state was abruptly stopped by Ezenyili and Governor Okonwa’s lead team.
“Nobody was hurt in that unfortunate incidence.We express our gratitude to our collaborators POSN and Docs4PO who made this medical outreach a success.”
Meanwhile, in a video footage exclusively obtained by News Band, some aggrieved Nigerians were seen protesting over the unfortunate disruption of the free medical outreach.
