The heartfelt event, held at the Government House in Akure on Friday night, saw members of the legal community paying tribute to Akeredolu, whom Governor Aiyedatiwa hailed as a fearless legal luminary and a dedicated leader.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the commendable gesture, emphasizing that the candlelight procession demonstrated genuine love and was not mere eye service. He assured the community that all ongoing projects initiated by the late leader would be completed.

Describing Akeredolu as the “Senior Advocate of the Masses,” the governor praised his commitment to justice and service to the people.

In his remarks, NBA Chairman, Akure Branch, Mr. Bayo Aina, highlighted the significance of the candlelight gathering, symbolizing the unwavering commitment of the legal community to support and perpetuate Akeredolu’s impactful work, even in his absence. Aina affirmed the association’s dedication to ensuring that the late leader’s legacy continued to illuminate the path of governance and the legal sphere in the state.

As Governor Aiyedatiwa called for continuous prayers, the community remains united in honoring the memory of the departed leader and preserving the principles he championed during his tenure.
