The Ekiti State governor, Mr Peter Ayodele Fayose today avoinded the meeting of all 36 state governors summoned by President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday.

Elombah.com had in a previous bulletin reported that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo joined President Buhari to receive the 36 state governors at the State House in Abuja.

According to reports, all state governors were present except Governor Fayose who was conspicuously missing.

However, in a swift response, Governor Fayose denied that he avoided Buhari’s meeting with the governors.

Taking to his Twitter handle, he gave reasons why he could not have made it to the meeting.

Recall that Fayose had predicted that President Buhari will never return to Nigeria from his medical vacation in London alive as he had turned to vegetable and on life support.

He also threatened to release 11 photographs of Buhari in a debilitating condition in London.

As if that was not enough, he reportedly swore that he will commit suicide if Buhari comes back alive, how much more resuming duties in official capacity.

To his chagrin, and to the surprise of Nigerians, the president flew back to Nigeria unannounced on August 19 after a full night protest by Nigerians resident in the United Kingdom asking him to go home.
