Teenage sensation Arda Guler has etched his name in the record books by becoming the youngest player to score on debut in the European Championship.

At just 19 years and 114 days old, Guler achieved this feat in Turkey’s Euro 2024 opener against Georgia, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo‘s record set in 2004 at 19 years and 128 days.

Guler’s impressive goal, a left-footed curler, helped Turkey secure a 3-1 victory in the Group F match at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday.

The youngster has already been making waves in the football world, earning the nickname “Turkish Messi” and scoring crucial goals for his country, including the winner against Wales in a Euro 2024 qualifying match last year.
