17 persons have been reportedly killed in Rivers State.

They were killed by unknown gunmen at Ula-Upata and Edoha in Ahoada west local government area of Rivers State.

According to eyewitness, the gunmen invaded Ula-upata community at about 1.00pm and killed 12 persons. 

Not done with the carnage, the gun men came back at 9.00pm the same day and killed another two persons.

Elombah.com gathered that the gunmen later moved on to Edoha community and beheaded four persons.

The headless bodies of the victims were gathered from the roadside by relevant authorities.

The State police command assistant public relation officer, Grace Koko is yet to react to the incident later.
