Gunmen Invade Nibo Beside Obiano’s Residence, Kill One

There is palpable tension in Nibo in Awka Capital Territory of Anambra State as unknown gunmen invaded a premises close by the residence of the state governor, Chief Willie Obiano.

According to reports gathered by Elombah.com, thousands of Hausa people in Nibo are tense as one of their own, a barbeque [suya] seller, was killed.

Reports further say that several truck load of policemen have already been deployed to contain the brewing tension in Nibo. 

Our correspondent said that it’s not yet clear what happened before he was killed but residents said the suya man was popular and instrumental for many of his town men relocating to Nibo. 

Till the latest development, he was known to have lived peacefully doing his business towards Umuawulu axis of Nibo.

The ensuing rain helped to calm frayed nerves as people retreated to the comfort of their homes to avoid the downpour momentarily.
