Unknown gunmen kill police officers

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted Alhaji Adamu, Personal Assistant to former Nasarawa State Governor, Senator Tanko Al-Makura, from his home in Lafia.

The abduction was disclosed by security expert, Zagozola Makama.

He said the attack occurred on August 15 around 3:40am at No. 45 Alkali Street, Lafia.

“Eyewitness accounts confirmed that the victim was taken away by unknown persons,” he said.

Sources said patrol teams, the Anti-Kidnapping Squad, and other tactical units were immediately drafted to track the criminal elements and rescue the victim.

Meanwhile, authorities have assured that all efforts are underway to ensure Alhaji Adamu’s safe release and bring the perpetrators to justice.
