Gunmen kidnap wedding guests in Kwara, demand N100m ransom

Five wedding gueste have been reportedly kidnapped by gunmen at Obbo-Ayegunle in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The victims, were said to be returning to their Odo-Owa residence from a wedding ceremony in Ope town, Kogi State, when they were abducted.
The group includes Oloye Oyewole Abolarin, the head of hunters in Odo-Owa, his wife Funmilayo Abolarin, Tunde Oladipo and his wife, and a woman identified as Bose, all from Agbele Igbede compound in Odo-Owa.
The suspected kidnappers have contacted the families, demanding a ₦100 million ransom for their release.
In response, relatives and community members have started pooling funds to meet the demand, while also urging Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and security agencies to intervene.
Unconfirmed report said that the victims were kidnapped on Monday along the Omu-Aran highway.
Meanwhile, Police command in Kwara has not issued a statement in respect to the incident.
