Gunmen suspected to be members of the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra, on Friday killed a man, Ichie Kennedy Igboanugo, along with his two wives and daughter in Ekwuru Isseke community, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.
News Band gathered that the assailants stormed Igboanugo’s residence and fatally shot all four victims.
The motive for the attack remains unclear, though reports suggest the attackers accused Igboanugo of being a “saboteur.”
A daughter of Igboanugo, Chelsea Mary, made the announcement on her Facebook page.
Mary is preparing for her wedding scheduled for next month.
She wrote: “Black Friday.
“My Dad, my mum, my step mum, my sister, all gone.
“God why me.
“May 23rd 2025
“Who did I offend?”
Details of the gruesome killing remain sketchy as authorities have yet to release an official statement.
Meanwhile, the incident has left the community in deep shock and mourning.
