Gunmen on Tuesday attacked Maro Village in Kajuru Local Government Area and part of Kachia Village, in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

In the renewed attack on the village, many houses and a Police patrol van were said to have been razed.

The village came under attack two weeks ago where several people lost their lives.

A source told our correspondent that bandits in hundreds invaded that community with dangerous weapons.

“Many residents had fled into the bush. The bandits came in their hundreds,” he added.

As of the time of filing this report, our correspondents could not ascertain the casualty figures in the renewed attack.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, DSP Yakubu Sabo, said he would get back to our correspondent for details on the attack.

But Govenor Nasir el-Rufai has condemned the attack on the areas, saying he was saddened by the news of the renewed attack.
