Gunmen have abducted Christopher Bakare, farm supervisor to the late former executive governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala.
Newsband gathered that Bakare was kidnapped on Saturday evening at TDB farms located at Jabata area, Surulere Local Government area of the state.
A family source said that the gunmen had made contact, making demand of N100 million as ransom.
The source said, “Yes, he has been kidnapped. Those guys speak a smattering of Yoruba. He was kidnapped in the farm. We have been trying to negotiate with them even though the police have been informed.”
When contacted, the state Commandant of Western Nigeria Security Network, WNSN, codenamed Amotekun, Colonel Olayinka Olayanju, (rtd), said he was not aware of the incident.
