Hamas and Islamic Jihad free three Israeli hostages in Gaza

On Saturday, February 15, 2025. Hamas and Islamic Jihad have released three Israeli hostages in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.

The captives were Iair Horn, Sagui Dekel-Chen, and Alexander Troufanov.

Diaspora digital media (DDM) gathered that they were handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The operation was carefully coordinated to ensure a smooth transfer.

This release is part of a ceasefire agreement mediated by Egypt and Qatar.

Israel will release 369 Palestinian prisoners as part of the deal.

This marks the sixth prisoner exchange since January 19, 2025.

So far, 24 Israeli hostages and 730 Palestinian prisoners have been exchanged.

Hostages reunited with families

The freed Israelis underwent medical evaluations before reuniting with their families.

Sagui Dekel-Chen, an Israeli-American, expressed relief and gratitude.

His brother, Eitan, remains in captivity.

Unlike previous transfers, this exchange proceeded without disruptions.

The ICRC confirmed the safe completion of the operation.

Israel releases 369 Palestinian prisoners

Israel has released 369 Palestinian prisoners as part of the agreement.

Ahmed Barghouti, a high-profile detainee, was among those freed.

His release is expected to impact Palestinian politics significantly.

Prisoners were transported to locations in the West Bank and Gaza.
