England captain Harry Kane has signed a new contract with Bayern Munich that will keep him at the German champions until June 2029.

The 33-year-old striker has committed his future to the Bundesliga giants after an impressive spell in Germany since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023.

Bayern confirmed the contract extension on Thursday, November 5, with the new agreement extending his previous deal by two years.

Kane, who joined Bayern in a reported £86m transfer, has established himself as one of the most influential players in European football, scoring 156 goals in 161 competitive appearances for the club.

His decision to remain in Munich comes after a remarkable 2025/26 campaign, during which he scored 73 goals in 65 appearances for club and country and helped Bayern secure domestic honours.

The England international also won the Ballon d’Or last month, becoming the latest player to receive the prestigious individual award following his outstanding performances.

Speaking after signing the new deal, Kane expressed his happiness with life at Bayern, highlighting his relationship with the supporters, the club and the city of Munich.

“I feel right at home at FC Bayern. I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich. We have a fantastic team and, in Vincent Kompany, a fantastic manager,” he said.

“My whole family is very happy here. I was keen to stay. I’m now looking forward to the future and I want to win many more titles with this great club.”

Bayern president Herbert Hainer described the extension as a significant moment for the club, praising the striker’s contributions since his arrival.

He said Kane had fulfilled the expectations that accompanied his high-profile transfer and established himself among the most important figures in Bayern’s history.

Meanwhile, chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen welcomed the agreement, describing it as excellent news for the club, its supporters and the Bundesliga.

Kane’s influence at Bayern has extended beyond his goalscoring exploits. He has also become an important leader in the dressing room under head coach Vincent Kompany.

Since moving to Germany, he has won two Bundesliga titles, the DFB-Pokal and two Franz Beckenbauer Supercups. He has also finished as the Bundesliga’s leading scorer in each of his first three seasons at the club.

His individual achievements include two European Golden Shoe awards and the 2026 Ballon d’Or, further strengthening his reputation as one of the world’s leading forwards.

Kane’s contract extension also provides Bayern with stability as they continue pursuing domestic and European success.

Despite his impressive collection of honours in Germany, the Champions League remains a major ambition for the England captain, who will be hoping to help Bayern return to the summit of European football.

With his future now settled until 2029, Kane has the opportunity to further cement his legacy at the Allianz Arena.
