Heavily armed Policemen invade Nass over appearance of IGP before Senate

There is palpable apprehension in the National Assembly as heavily armed policemen invaded the premises following the appearance of the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Kpotum Idris, before Senate.

The heavily armed policemen are stationed around the National Assembly premises ahead of the appearance of IGP Idris.

The IGP was summoned by Senate Panel investigating gross misconduct and corruption leveled against him by Senator Isah Misau.

He is expected to defend himself before the Senate panel today.

The heavily armed police officers were stationed at the strategic places of the National Assembly entrance.

The IGP was accused of non-remittance of annual generating revenue which is about N120 billion and was accused collecting bribe before officers can posted to juicy places.
