How NDDC Commissioner’s projects become threat to criminal activities in Imo

Criminals in Imo are said to be in the state of dilemma following the recent massive installation of brilliant solar street lights by Hon Dr Kyrian Uchegbu led Niger Delta Development Commission in Imo State,.

As more than half of the autonomous communities and city centers in Imo State are without doubt glowing in the ecstatic joyful relief of nocturnal dangers posed against the people as a result of incessant activities of criminals.

It’s a fact that majority of the criminal activities, often derive their aides and coverage from darkness of the night.

Oftentimes, the terrorists, kidnappers, armed robbers, vandals etc, leverage the natural darkness of the night to execute their nefarious activities.

As the sage may have it “Anything under the sun which has a beginning must surely have an end”.

Their activities are apparently jamming their waterloo, as NDDC began this laudable and sterling project called Operation Light Up Niger Delta Region.

This is by no doubt regarded as one of the exceptional policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government, exclusively for the Niger Delta region in Nigeria.

This project was kicked off few months after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inauguration but unfortunately was sparsely noticeable in Imo State.

However, Hon Dr Kyrian Chidiebere Uchegbu’s inauguration months later after President Tinubu’s inauguration had became a game changer to the prevailing ugly narrative.

This is so because Hon Dr Uchegbu, saw beyond the illuminative essence and other social benefits attendant to solar street lights at night.

But having discovered that the light provides over 80% social security benefits to every environment where it’s situated.

In view of the above, more than 360 autonomous communities and cities in Imo State where this light is positioned can comfortably sleep with their two eyes closed.

The solar street lights have changed the darkness of night into a brilliant illuminative day-like night.

The darkness like environment has become a thing of the past.

Making the abode for nefarious activities to be over.

Any attempt means that the person has decided to handover himself to people or security operatives for his deserving punishment.

Example exists where recently, a group of terrorists who were allegedly terrorizing some communities in Imo west senatorial district were caught in the night.

They were riding on motorcycles and shooting sporadically without knowing that the linear brilliant solar street lights have exposed that they were only three in number.

The locals had strategically positioned themselves in waiting for their arrival.

Hardly had they arrived than the brave men of that community X swooped on them with woods, two out of the three were apprehended and the rest become story over what happened to them.

This was made possible because there is light everywhere in the area, with out which, they would have had their field day as usual.

Hon Dr Uchegbu has painstakingly putting all his all to make sure that this light will cut across the nooks and crannies of all communities and towns in Imo State.

Apparently, he is achieving this feet.

One can go and verify that any area that has this light have automatically provided 80% solution to its security challenges.

Another beautiful aspect of this sterling project is that it does not require any energy or constant electrical services.

It derives its strength from the sun ☀️.
This among other developmental largesse are the people oriented benefits from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government and Hon Dr Kyrian Chidiebere Uchegbu auspicious leadership in Imo State NDDC.

All it takes is for the beneficiary Communities to protect these infrastructure from vandals and it will remain useful to them.
