Hungry, broke men prefer bigger breasts — Research

A study published in PLOS ONE found that men who feel financially insecure or hungry tend to find larger female breasts more attractive.

The research, conducted by psychologists Viren Swami and Martin J. Tovée, explored whether breast size is linked to perceived fat reserves and access to resources.

The study involved two parts: one in Malaysia and another in the UK.

In Malaysia, 266 men from different socioeconomic backgrounds rated images of women with varying breast sizes.

The results showed men from low-income areas preferred larger breasts, while those from high-income areas preferred smaller to medium breasts.

In the UK, 124 male students were divided into hungry and satiated groups.

Hungry men consistently rated larger breasts as more attractive.

The researchers concluded that resource security influences men’s attractiveness ratings, suggesting attraction is responsive to immediate conditions like hunger and financial pressure.
