The former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Gregory Obi has declared that he is not aspiring for Nigeria’s number one seat come the 2019 presidential election.
Mr Obi made assertion during a meeting with online publishers with class at Ikoyi, Lagos.
According to our correspondent, Mazi Odera, who was at the venue, one of the Publishers asked him if he want to contest for President having in mind the high acceptance in and around the country.
The high acceptance makes him to move from place to place, state to state, even to places like Rwanda, Kenya and Ethiopia in his lecture and Leadership teaching series .
In his response, he said: “People have been asking me such question; some even said I am planning to run as Vice President.
“But I am telling you that I am not contesting for the vice or the president.
“What I am doing is simply to cry out because the nation has accepted the worst leadership in every facet, counting from wards, local government, state and federal.
“It get so bad that any person that gets into leadership place will buy series of cars within 6 months, build Houses that cost multimillion.
“But instead of the people to cry out and demand to know what brought the sudden change and affluence, they will celebrate the person.
“And it has become standard in Nigeria to loot, plunder and get away with blessings from our traditional rulers and religious leaders.
“My concern is only for our people to start asking questions and demanding answers from our leaders so that we can get it right like other nations and nationals.
