Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso, national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has expressed confidence in winning the 2027 presidential election.
While speaking at the inauguration of the NNPP Secretariat in Katsina, Kwankwaso assured that his party is ready to take over the presidency, states, and other positions across Nigeria.
Kwankwaso was also in Katsina to offer condolences to the Yar’adua family following the death of their matriarch, Hajiya Dada.
Meanwhile, he stressed his confidence in the party’s prospects for the upcoming general elections, asserting that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is no longer a contender since his departure.
He urged Nigerians, particularly women and youths, to resist being swayed by superficial inducements such as money or promises during future elections. Kwankwaso also called on NNPP leaders to intensify their efforts to ensure the party’s success both within the state and nationwide.
During the event, he praised party members and stakeholders for refurbishing the state secretariat, viewing it as a crucial step towards achieving electoral success.
Additionally, Kwankwaso pledged support to Abubakar Ibrahim, a young boy from Yammawa suffering from severe acute malnutrition.
NNPP State Chairman, Alhaji Armaya’u Abdulkadir, highlighted the party’s efforts to educate the electorate about the new party logo, which signifies a commitment to education. He stressed the importance of grassroots awareness to ensure members understand the significance of the logo.
