The Rivers State High Court continued sitting with Justice Enebeli presiding to further hear proceedings on the civil suit filed against Dozzy Oil and Gas Ltd and SunGreen Oil and Gas LTD (a sister company to Dozzy Oil and Gas LTD), on the 21st of February 2023 as witnesses of Dozzy Oil and Gas LTD, consisting of the Ministry of Lands and Survey officials were summoned to testify on the owner of the land and cross examined.

Mr. Henry Uzor. the Former Registrar of Titles, Ministry of Lands, Rivers State took the witness box where he confirmed that he wrote series of letters to Ibeto including the letter that ordered Ibeto to return his Certified True Copy of the documents that were certified for him in “error” (recall that Ibeto admitted to getting the letters from the State Government but decided to ignore the Government order)

Despite the efforts of Barr Ikpeazu (SAN) to bamboozle Mr. Uzor, remained adamant that Ibeto doesn’t have any claim to the lands in question as his Certified True Copy is invalid. He also stated that the State Government doesn’t recognize Ibeto as the owner of the lands in dispute, and confirmed that the lands in dispute belong to Sungreen Oil and Gas LTD

  • Reiterates that Sungreen Oil and Gas Limited, Dozzy Oil Sister Company, is the rightful owner of the lands in the State Lands records.
