The former governor of Delta State, Chief James Ononefe Ibori has finally lodged his appeal against all convictions formally at the Southwark Crown Court in London, The United Kingdom .
This was confirmed to Elombah.com by a source connected to Ibori’s defence team.
According to the source, all cases have been adjourned to the Court of Appeal after Ibori lodged his appeal yesterday.
Elombah.com was also reliably informed that the Crown Prosecution consented to the Appeal going forward.
With this latest development, the legal fireworks has started in earnest.
Recall that Ibori returned from London recently after he was released from prison where he served some five years jail term.
