The Director General of the Agency, Mallam Sani Sidi assuring the IDPs staying in Malkohi camp while on an official visit to the camp in Yola that was attacked last Friday by a suicide bomber, promised the displaced persons from Borno state that very soon, the Federal Government will ensure that they are evacuated back to their state in no distant future.

He noted that his organization is working with security agencies to increase the presence of security personnel around all IDP Camps across the region to ensure security of inhabitants.

Sidi noted that as a last resort, the Boko Haram whose fighting power has been seriously degraded will resort to guerrilla fighting and bombing of soft targets urging the inhabitants of the IDP Camps across the region to be more vigilant and report suspicious movements and persons to the security operatives.

He told the IDPs at Malkohi camp that enough drugs would be provided for them noting that NEMA has entered an agreement with two hospitals in the state capital to provide medical care to IDPs.

Earlier on, Deputy Governor of Adamawa State Mr. Martins Babale said that the security agents need to screen all the IDPs deported by the Cameroon government to the country to avoid reoccurrence of suicide attacks witnessed at the Madagali Market and Malkohi IDPs camp.
