If you don’t pay your tithe, you’ll go to heaven in Lazarus style — Pastor

One pastor U.O. Miracle has explained to his members that not paying tithes won’t stop them from going to heaven but, they will go as poor people.

According to the cleric, not paying tithe means they will live like Lazarus in this life and also die like Lazarus.

In a sermon that got many tongues wagging, the Nigerian pastor noted that those who pay tithe will live in wealth like Abraham.

While citing the story of Lazarus, the poor man who reached heaven, pastor Miracle mentioned that Lazarus arrived “with his dirty body” and without any privileges.

He said, “If you don’t pay your tithe, you will go to heaven but in a Lazarus style. You’ll be very poor in this world but you will go to heaven. If you’re a tither, you will go in Abraham’s pattern. Lazarus went to heaven as a poor man with his body already eaten by worms, and had sore on his body”.
