Ifeanyi Ubah reiterates commitment towards promotion of Igbo culture
Anambra South Senator and National Leader of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, over the weekend, appreciated the Traditional Ruler of Ukpo community in Dunukofia Local Government Area, His Royal Majesty Igwe Robert Eze for his uncommon roles in promoting peace in the community and Anambra State at large.
The Senator made the remarks during the 30th Ofala Festival of the Monarch at his palace.
Senator Ubah, who was accompanied to the event by some of his supporters, also reiterated his commitment towards promoting the norms and traditions of ndị Igbo.
He called on constituted authorities to always give maximum support to traditional institutions.
Senator Ubah also congratulated Barrister Peter Nwosu, a member of Anambra Progressives and Development Union (APDU) on the new chieftaincy title (Ofiafuluagu) conferred on him by the Ukpo Monarch.
The Anambra South Senator further described Barrister Nwosu as an illustrious son of Igbo land and urged him to keep on keeping on.
Responding, Barrister Nwosu appreciated the Ukpo community and their traditional ruler for honoring him with the noble title.
He further maintained that he will never relent in putting in efforts that will support promotion of the Igbo Cause and people’s wellbeing and urged custodians of Igbo culture to remain good ambassadors of the southeast.
Also present at the epic event were illustrious sons and daughters of Alaigbo including Oil Magnate, Engr. Arthur Eze and Senator Ubah’s Running Mate in the just concluded Anambra State Governorship Election, Dr. Okey Ezeh.
