The sender reported open fire between warring Niger Delta factions. Read:

“I am in Aladja NOW. I happen to have come here yesterday.

“Early this morning at dawn, Ijaw youths of Gbaramutu, Ogbe-Ijaw & Esaba invaded Aladja.

“A detachment entered through the stream at Oghurie street burning two houses.

“Another came on land through Ighrue street, the thoroughway to Ogbe-Ijaw while the third came simultaneously through Epame/Ayama road to Aladja Grammar School.

“The fight is still on but Aladja youths are repelling them though they came well-armed with superior weapons.

“This is no tell-tale or propaganda! It is happening live! Now!

“I’ve spoken to the High Command and have been assured that the army is despatching 14 Hilux vans with their men.

“I’ve contacted our Ijaw brothers in Yenagoa, Lagos & even as far as Bristol. I’ve spoken to UPU hierarchy.

Ijaws of Ogbe-Ijaws and Aladja are brethren that have lived peaceably for over a century but for our hopeless, clueless & selfish politicians.

My maternal grandfather married from Ogbe-Ijaw & we are all one big united family.

The war benefits none except the Omares, Opuorus, Tompolos & the Deputy Governor. It is unfortunate.
