I’m sorry for making false allegations against you — Halima begs Apostle Suleman
Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has tendered what appears to be a heartfelt public apology to the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman for defaming him.
The screen diva admitted to spreading false information about the prosperity preacher and causing him distress.
She tendered the apology in a statement posted on her official Instagram page on Wednesday.
Halima Abubakar expressed deep remorse for the harm she caused to Suleman’s reputation, hoping the apology would help mitigate the damage done.
The statement reads, “I am writing to you to acknowledge the falsehood I made against you on social media and to offer my sincere apologies. After deep reflection, and for my conscience to be in accord with God, I have realized the depth of the harm and distress caused by my lies.
“I admit that I made false allegations against you and also regret my action and the damage I caused to you, your wife, Dr. Lizzy Suleman, your family and the leaders of the Omega Fire Ministry.
“With this letter, I humbly ask for forgiveness, recognising that my apology cannot undo the harm, pain, and distress I caused, and I ask you to find a place in your heart to forgive me as I was not thinking right then. Sir, you have done a lot for humanity. Please extend your hands to forgiveness towards me.
“Once again, sir, I am truly so sorry for all the hurts and distress I caused you, your family, and ministry. Thank you very much, and may the heavens calm your heart. God bless you, sir.”
