Immigration hands over killer Enugu native doctor to police

The Lagos State command of Nigeria Immigration Service, has handed over Enugu killer native doctor, Obi Levi Obieze to the Lagos State Police Command for further investigation.

CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesman of Lagos State police command disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

He said: “ONGOING: @nigimmigration, Lagos State Command hands over wanted suspect, Obi Levi Obieze, to @LagosPoliceNG at the Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja”.

News Band reported that the ruthless murderer—Levi Obieze was taken into custody on May 29, 2025, by operatives of the Nigeria Immigration Service at the Gbaji checkpoint along Badagry-Seme Road while attempting to flee the country on a motorcycle.

Obieze was arrested after he was fingered in multiple killings and abductions in Isiagu Community, Enugu State.

On Thursday, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Kemi Nandap, confirmed his arrest in a statement issued by the spokesman of NIS, ACI AS Akinlabi on Thursday.

“The suspect is a male individual wanted by the Nigeria Police Enugu State Command for alleged involvement in abduction, kidnapping, and ritual killing,” the statement read.

According to the NIS, Obieze’s identity was confirmed through a National Identity Management Commission enrollment slip found in his possession. He also reportedly confessed to the crimes during initial questioning.
