The Imo State Police Command has made impressive progress in reducing criminal activities across the state.

Through coordinated security operations, officers have disrupted a kidnapping ring, eliminated dangerous IPOB/ESN militants, and arrested 147 suspects. They also rescued several abducted victims, marking a significant victory in the fight against crime.

Under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Aboki Danjuma, these operations targeted various offenses over the past two months. Armed robbery, kidnapping, murder, rape, child trafficking, and terrorism were among the crimes addressed. The police recovered a large cache of weapons, including AK-47 rifles, pump-action guns, and ammunition, weakening criminal networks.

One notable arrest involved Ozioma Ihedoro, a 37-year-old native doctor linked to IPOB/ESN. Captured in Umuaka, Njaba LGA, he admitted to advising a militant commander known as “B44.” Officers found an AK-47 rifle, magazines, and live rounds in his shrine. His cooperation is aiding further investigations into militant activities.

In a separate operation, police arrested three armed robbery suspects in Njaba. Chinonso Anayo, Emmanuel John, and Ifeanyi John, all from Ebonyi State, confessed to multiple robberies. Authorities recovered stolen motorcycles, firearms, and ammunition from them, disrupting their operations.

CP Danjuma praised the officers for their bravery and commitment to public safety. He assured residents that security remains a top priority, with increased patrols and intelligence efforts. The police chief urged citizens to stay alert and report suspicious behavior immediately.

The command reaffirmed its partnership with other security agencies to maintain peace in Imo State. Community support is vital, and officials encourage prompt reporting of crimes to help law enforcement respond effectively. These efforts reflect a strong determination to create a safer environment for all residents.

With continued vigilance and teamwork, Imo State is moving closer to lasting security. The command’s proactive measures serve as a warning to criminals while reassuring law-abiding citizens of their safety. These achievements highlight the importance of collaboration between security forces and the community in combating crime.
