INEC Chairman Inspects Jos North LGA Office Operations

(DDM) – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, visited the Jos North Local Government Area office in Plateau State to review operations and assess staff preparedness.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that the visit took place on Monday, November 17, 2025, and was accompanied by INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Sadiq, and senior commission officials.

Upon arrival, Professor Amupitan was formally received by the REC and the Jos North Electoral Officer, who provided a detailed briefing on the office’s administrative and operational activities.

The briefing included updates on voter registration, collation procedures, polling unit preparations, and logistics management for upcoming electoral exercises in the area.

Professor Amupitan commended staff for their commitment, discipline, and professionalism, acknowledging the challenges faced in delivering seamless services at the grassroots level.

He encouraged staff to maintain diligence, integrity, and transparency in all electoral processes, stressing that public confidence in elections depends on responsive and accountable service delivery.
