Insecurity: 11 feared dead as soldiers, gunmen battle in Abia

There was palpable tension at Ariaria area of Aba, the commercial hub of Abia state as no fewer than 11 persons were reportedly killed during an exchange of gun fire between soldiers and unknown gunmen on Tuesday night.

The attack on the army checkpoint is coming two days after three policemen were brutally killed by unknown gunmen in Abiriba, Ohafia Local Government Area of the state.
