Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor has come out hard on the seeming promoters of the general insecurity in the country, with a stern warning that the military will go on full offensive against kidnappers, bandits, cultists and all criminals now running amok in Nigeria and Anambra in particular.

Obiano and Irabor

The Army chief who stated this in Anambra yesterday when he visited Gov Willie Obiano at his Aguleri country home where they held a closed door meeting said that his visit was to exchange views and compare notes with the Governor on the general insecurity in the state.

While speaking to journalists shortly after the meeting, Gen Irabor reassured citizens that the military will synergize with other security agencies to restore peace in the State, but warned all criminals elements against indulging in criminal activities in the state.

It would be recalled that few days ago there was a wave of attacks on various security agents in which police officers, naval officers and civilians were killed therefore sending shivers down the spine of residents.
