Unknown gunmen have reportedly killed yet to be verified number of police officers and soldiers in different locations in Anambra State.
The unfortunate attack happened on Thursday afternoon.
While the policemen were killed in Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area in a checkpoint, the soldiers were killed at an outpost in Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government Area, both in Anambra State.
A source who spoke to Elombahnews said the gunmen also set ablaze a police van in Neni, while looting arms belonging to the slain policemen.
The same was done to the soldiers after eliminating them by the unknown gunmen in Awkuzu.
However, the police command in Anambra State is yet to issue statement on the unfortunate development.
