The Political Wing of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB-PW), has reacted to the political solution embraced by the Kurdish group—PKK after four decades of armed struggle, adding that IPOB has a lot to learn from it.
IPOB-PW in a statement issued by it’s spokesman, Nwachukwu Emereonye, noted that this act by Kurdish group shows the importance of what IPOB- Political Wing is doing — to avoid time wasting, loss of lives and further complication of situation in Igbo land.
Also, the Indigenous People of Biafra Political Wing while responding to a recent statement by Chinasa Nworu, one of the arrowheads of the separatist movement currently in exile, where he expressed joy over Abdullah Ocalan of the Kurdish group embracing a political solution, commended him for recognizing that all conflicts ultimately lead to dialogue.
It said IPOB since it’s inception has nothing to show for it and that’s the reason why IPOB-PW has come to make amends and end the futile journey the region found itself by engaging in a political process, which is the only solution left.
The statement reads, “Abdullah Ocalan of the Kurdish group PKK has finally embraced political solution after four decades of armed struggle, and this act shows the importance of what we IPOB- Political Wing is doing. We want to avoid time wasting, loss of lives and further complication of our situation in Igbo land.
“It’s even ridiculous that Chinasa Nworu, who has supported years of futile armed struggle led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu shared the news of Ocalan’s realisation that armed struggle cannot bring about political emancipation or independence.
“Ocalan has now learned after four decades what IPOB-PW is aware of and pursuing timely. We don’t need to dwell in the mistake of endlessly shouting and causing insecurity, while there is a political channel to achieve everything we want without bloodshed and violence.
“Chinasa Nworu shared the concession of Ocalan without attaching comment to it, while we know he is on the mission of making money with gullible Igbo people, we find it difficult to believe that his victims cannot reason.
“Since 2012 Mazi Nnamdi Kanu began his rhetoric, what has IPOB achieved to date? This is a crucial question that puts to rest years of deceit and time wasting.
“IPOB-PW has come to make amends and end the futile journey we found ourselves by engaging in a political process, which is the only solution we have left.
“We must not wait for four decades before we realise the mistake of today like Kurdish group PKK. We must make haste while the sun shines, and IPOB-PW is well positioned to bring about the needed change for the good of Ndigbo.
“Abdullah Ocalan should be a perfect example of what and where IPOB is going, unfortunately, we cannot afford to wait for decades before embracing reality. IPOB-PW will change the narrative and achieve autonomy”
“We therefore call on Ndigbo to prepare for the coming elections in Alaigbo, it’s high time we got it done once and for all. We will use our number and capabilities to fashion a future for the good of Ndigbo.”
