Iran’s military has accused the United States of escalating tensions in the Middle East, warning neighbouring countries against providing military support to American forces.
Speaking on Saturday, Central Command Chief Ali Abdollahi criticised Washington’s recent military activities in the region, describing them as provocative and capable of worsening the security situation.
Abdollahi warned that any country offering logistical or defensive support to US forces could face serious consequences.
“The United States is rapidly moving down the path of escalating tensions in the region. Any country serving as a defensive shield for criminal and aggressive America will be engulfed by the flames of war,” he said.
The warning comes amid rising tensions between Tehran and Washington following a series of military exchanges and heightened security concerns across the Middle East.
Iran has repeatedly cautioned neighbouring countries against allowing their territories or military facilities to be used in support of US operations.
The latest remarks are expected to further heighten fears of a wider regional conflict as diplomatic efforts to ease tensions remain uncertain.
