Israel-Iran war, Lessons for Nigeria and Africa

A prominent Yemeni political analyst, Dr. Abdullah Al-Mansouri, has claimed on social media that Israel has suffered catastrophic losses following its recent confrontation with Iran.

Al-Mansouri, who is also a human rights activist, made a series of explosive assertions, stating that Iran has emerged victorious in a conflict that has left Israel in a state of unprecedented destruction.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that Al-Mansouri’s remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, following weeks of escalating hostilities between Israel and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Although international media have yet to verify the details provided by the analyst, his claims are resonating widely on Arab social media platforms and among pro-Iranian circles.

According to Al-Mansouri, two million Israelis have fled the country in a mass exodus, with no plans of return.

He claims Israel’s military infrastructure has been reduced to rubble and essential services have completely collapsed. Roads and seaports, he said, are buried under debris, and entire cities are reportedly without power or running water.

Among the most alarming claims was that Israel’s defense website, Hess, was allegedly hacked, revealing the deaths of six senior military generals, 32 Mossad officers, 78 Shin Bet officers, 27 naval officers, 198 air force personnel, 462 soldiers, and 423 civilians.

He added that Israel’s interceptor missile systems, which are key to the country’s defense, have suffered $11 billion in losses.

Al-Mansouri estimated that a third of the Israeli state has been decimated, projecting the financial cost of rebuilding at around three trillion shekels.

He stated that it could take at least three to four years for the country to recover, if recovery is even possible.

He also criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to launch a strike on Iran, arguing that it failed to achieve any strategic objective.

According to Al-Mansouri, Iran’s nuclear reactor remained intact, and the Iranian regime did not collapse, contrary to the expectations of Israel, Gulf nations, and Western allies.

“The strike achieved nothing,” he posted. “Iran will certainly emerge stronger, and its enemies underestimated its capabilities.”

The political analyst asserted that Iran did not call on any of its allies for assistance, choosing instead to confront the threat alone.

This, he said, was a deliberate strategic decision to test the full extent of the country’s military strength.

He concluded by warning that the conflict had brought the global economy to the brink.

Fuel shortages and rising commodity prices, he argued, would be the first signs of the wider implications of the conflict.

He also suggested that former U.S. President Donald Trump feared the war would spiral into a prolonged confrontation that could weaken both the United States and Israel.

As of now, no official confirmation or denial has been issued by the Israeli government or Western intelligence agencies regarding the extent of the damage claimed in Al-Mansouri’s post.

However, the conflict has undeniably raised new fears over the fragility of peace in the Middle East and the future of power dynamics in the region.

International observers continue to monitor the situation closely, as more details are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
