Iran slams Trump’s ‘unconditional surrender’ as ‘cowardly threat’

U.S. President Donald Trump has demanded Iran’s “unconditional surrender”, as Israel intensifies deadly airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

Diaspora Digital Media DDM reported that Trump took to his Truth Social on Tuesday, June 17, that the U.S. knows where Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is hiding.

He warned that any further resistance would lead to destruction and said surrender is Iran’s only option to avoid annihilation.

Iran’s government responded angrily, calling Trump’s comments “a cowardly threat” and vowed never to negotiate under duress or intimidation.

On Friday, Israeli forces launched a massive surprise airstrike on Iranian nuclear facilities without U.S. support or coordination, officials confirmed.

The operation targeted underground enrichment labs, air defense hubs, and military command centers in central and southern Iran.

Several top Iranian nuclear scientists and military officers were reportedly killed, including one general and four senior engineers.

Iran’s air defense systems were overwhelmed, allowing multiple Israeli fighter jets to strike targets with high precision.

The attack triggered days of nonstop aerial conflict between Israel and Iran, now stretching into its sixth consecutive day.

Iran has since launched over 200 drones and missiles toward Israel in waves of escalating retaliation.

Israel’s Iron Dome and Arrow systems intercepted most projectiles, though several struck infrastructure in Haifa and Be’er Sheva.

Blackouts and minor casualties have been reported in northern Israel, but the country remains operational and defiant.

Tehran says the Israeli strike was an act of war and has vowed a “severe, direct” response in due time.

U.S. officials told ABC News the White House had no prior knowledge or involvement in Israel’s decision to strike.

Despite this, President Trump told ABC: “It’s possible we could get involved”, without giving specific conditions orplans.

Trump’s online threats marked a major escalation and were perceived by many analysts as a signal for regime change.

Iranian state media said Khamenei is alive, safe, and fully in command, dismissing Trump’s claim as psychological warfare.

Global reactions have been swift, with the United Nations calling for immediate de-escalation and dialogue from all parties.

Russia and China condemned Israel’s attack and warned the U.S. against interfering militarily in the region.

European leaders are urging restraint, fearing the violence could spread beyond Iran and Israel into Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq.

So far, over 60 people are confirmed dead, with many more injured or missing in both countries.

International air travel has been suspended across parts of the Middle East as tensions escalate toward full-scale regional war.

The Pentagon confirmed U.S. forces in the region have been placed on high alert and repositioned for rapid deployment.
