(DDM) – The government of Iraq has strongly condemned any form of aggression or targeting directed at Gulf nations and Jordan, amid escalating regional tensions.

The condemnation was issued by Iraq’s foreign ministry in an official statement released on Thursday.

According to the ministry, the Iraqi government firmly rejects any attacks originating from or linked to its territory against neighbouring countries.

The statement emphasised Baghdad’s commitment to maintaining regional stability and preventing further escalation.

This development comes a day after several Gulf states and Jordan jointly called on Iraq to take decisive action to stop attacks allegedly emanating from its soil.
