Israeli Forces Move to Obliterate Gaza in a Ruthless War Push

Israel’s security cabinet has approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to take full military control of Gaza City.
Netanyahu announced before the meeting that Israel aims to control all of Gaza.
The decision has triggered fierce backlash. Protesters filled streets in several Israeli cities.
Families of hostages in Gaza condemned the move, calling it a “death sentence.” Israel’s military chief privately warned against a full takeover, according to sources.
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to worsen. The United Nations reports a sharp rise in child malnutrition.
Aid deliveries remain minimal, with only small amounts reaching the enclave.
CNN journalists, aboard a Jordanian military aid flight, witnessed from above the massive destruction across Gaza.
This marks a historic shift. Israel last occupied Gaza after seizing it in the 1967 war. It withdrew in 2005.
Since the 2023 war with Hamas began, Israeli forces have recaptured large areas of the territory.
Palestinian National Initiative President Mustafa Barghouti called the cabinet’s decision a “declaration of a war crime.”
He accused Netanyahu’s government of using the fight against Hamas as a pretext for “ethnic cleansing” of Gaza’s population.
Barghouti said Netanyahu “doesn’t care about Israeli captives” and “never intended to reach a ceasefire.”
He claimed the prime minister is pursuing “extermination, genocide, and ethnic cleansing” with the backing of the United States.
