ISWAP attack 2 army posts in Borno, kill 30, wound 30 others

The Islamic State of West Africa Province [ISWAP] has claimed responsibility for an attack targeting two Nigerian army posts in the town of Mallamfatori in northeastern Borno State.

The attack in Mallamfatori, which is adjacent to neighboring Chad and Niger, reportedly saw the death of 30 security personnel, with another 330 wounded.

According to sources, this is at least the 41st attack officially claimed by ISWAP so far this year alone targeting the town of Mallamfatori.
