Jehovah’s Witnesses thrilled their members as well as the host community with the ongoing 2025 “Pure Worship!” Convention held at the Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Uli, Anambra State, Nigeria.
One of the events was held last weekend, July 18-20, 2025.
Realizing that many in the community are concerned about matters of faith and spirituality, Jehovah’s Witnesses invited all and sundry to the annual global convention series.
The event began on Friday, with the theme “It is Jehovah your God you must worship”.
The chairman’s address entitled “What Is Pure Worship?” announced the beginning of the convention.
It was thereafter trailed by the exciting feature Bible drama entitled “The Good News According to Jesus: Episode 2 “This Is My Son”— Part One”, which traced the genealogy of Jesus all the way back to Adam as well as activities in the life of Jesus Christ.
The drama, Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered, is part of a long history of the life and times of Jesus.
It began in 2024 convention and will continue till the next convention in 2026.
It was later followed by several talks and symposia featuring several speakers.
The talks centered on how to imitate Jesus in various circumstances, as well as lessons that can be gleaned from Jesus’ life and activities.
Saturday, Day Two, had its theme: “The zeal for your house will consume me”.
Highlights of the day include the feature Bible drama “The Good News According to Jesus: Episode 2 “This Is My Son”—Part II”.
The drama portrayed how when Jesus got baptized, he became the Messiah, or Christ.
In the following months, he was tempted by the Devil, began gathering his disciples, and performed his first miracles.
