Jonathan Gets Heroic Welcome In Kano As Mammoth Crowd Hail

Former President Goodluck Jonathan was accorded heroic welcome in Kano on Saturday, during his visit to condole the people of Kano for the death of the Dan Masanin Kano, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Sule.

The former president was received by the Kano State governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as well as the Emir of Kano and former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria [CBN], Muhammadu Sanusi II.

Elombah.com gathered that he was fondly received and celebrated by most of the people who worked against him in the 2015 general elections.

Also among his receivers were Dr. Sule Lamido, CON, Barr. Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, Sen. Bala Mohammed, Comr. Abba Morro, Dr. Akilu Indabawa and other party members.

People reportedly trooped from nooks and crannies of Kano as soon as the news of his arrival broke out.

While many were welcoming and shouting accolades, others were screaming apology for voting against him in 2015 presidential elections.

Some in the crowd were even shouting that he should come back in 2019 general elections.
