JUST IN: 4 reverend sisters kidnapped in Imo by suspected Fulani herdsmen

Four reverend sisters belonging to the Sisters of Jesus the Savior Generalate have been kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen around Okigwe in Imo State while on their way to a thanksgiving mass.

The Secretary General of the Sisters of Jesus the Saviour (Saviourites) Generalate, Sister Zita Ihedoro broke the news in a press release dated August 21, 2002.

According to Sister Ihedoro, the names of the victims are Johannes Nwodo, Christabel Echemazu, Liberata Mbamalu and Benita Agu.

The Imo State Command of the Nigeria Police did not respond when contacted and is yet to issue an official statement to the incidence
