Just in: APC panics as emergent coalition gains national momentum
DDM News

A wave of criticism is mounting against Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as opposition voices intensify calls for reform and accountability in the build-up to the 2027 general elections.
Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that Prof. Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr, Convener of the COUNTRYFIRST Movement, has launched a new series aimed at exposing what he describes as the entrenched falsehoods and corruption of the ruling party.
BeHe insists the series will remain consistent, brief, and truth-driven for as long as necessary.
Prof. Nwaokobia claims the APC is terrified by the rise of what he calls the “Emergent Coalition”, a growing political alliance positioned to challenge the current government.
According to him, the APC has failed across all sectors and is now desperate, recruiting political figures like a struggling football club buying attackers and defenders to regain lost ground.
He accused the ruling party of polluting the Nigerian political space with unchecked corruption, describing the administration as “corrupt, corruptive, and corruptible.” In his view, the people must organize urgently to end APC’s grip on power by 2027.
Prof. Nwaokobia drew comparisons between past administrations and the current one, noting that while former President Goodluck Jonathan’s anti-corruption stance lacked results, and Muhammadu Buhari’s administration failed to deliver on its anti-corruption promises, the current President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led government has institutionalized corruption.
According to him, “corruption runs the show, calls the shots, holds sway, and is the Commander-in-Chief” under Tinubu’s regime.
He described the APC’s leadership as “mortally scared” and “brutally confused” in the face of growing public discontent and the strengthening of opposition forces.
He cited several examples of alleged financial mismanagement under the current administration, including the padding of the 2025 budget by nearly ₦7 trillion, the awarding of ₦213 million for a single borehole, and ₦266 million for one streetlight.
He also raised questions about the unbudgeted Coastal Highway project and the ₦39 billion renovation of the Abuja International Conference Centre.
He accused the Tinubu presidency of abandoning due process, prioritizing nepotism and cronyism over open bidding and accountability.
He argued that the administration prefers propaganda over governance, oblivious to the fact that “the lifespan of falsehood is short.”
Prof. Nwaokobia also pointed to the flaws in the recent gubernatorial elections in Imo, Kogi, and Edo States as further evidence of systemic electoral corruption under the watch of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He claimed that INEC’s conduct has severely eroded public trust in the democratic process.
He vowed that the Emergent Coalition would ultimately defeat the APC in 2027, arguing that the ruling party has no credible achievements to campaign with.
He described the government’s claim of “resetting Nigeria” as a grand deception meant to cover up unprecedented waste and graft.
The COUNTRYFIRST Movement Convener promised a follow-up to his initial piece, where he will address specific policy failures of the Tinubu government.
These include insecurity, energy and power crises, educational decline, economic inconsistency, social disunity, suppression of civil liberties, joblessness, food insecurity, and the erosion of due process.
According to him, each of these failings will be examined using facts and figures to dismantle what he termed the “debauchery of the propaganda machinery” of the APC government.
He concluded his statement with a call to action, urging Nigerians to rise and reclaim their country from what he described as a regime that has traded truth for falsehood.
“May Nigeria be great again,” Prof. Nwaokobia declared.
He also called on citizens to share his message widely, describing it as part of a national rescue mission through truth and people-driven advocacy.
