JUST IN: Court sacks LP lawmaker, Amobi Ogah

The election petition tribunal sitting in Umuahia, the capital of Abia State, has sacked Honourable Amobi Ogah, member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency.

Amobi in February was declared winner of the House of Representatives poll after defeating President Tinubu’s minister, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha.

The tribunal in a landmark judgement ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission—INEC, to withdraw the certificate of return given to Ogah and also issue same to the petitioner, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha of the All Progressives Congress—APC.
