JUST IN: England women beat Germany to win Euro 2022

England’s Lionesses secured their first ever European Championship triumph with a hard-fought, extra-time victory over Germany at Wembley Stadium on Sunday evening.

Chloe Kelly popped up in the box to score the winning goal in the 110th minute after Lina Magull levelled following Ella Toone’s opener.

Chances were hard to come by for both teams but Sarina Wiegman’s side battled through the tiredness of extra time to defeat the eight-time European Champions.

Kelly’s strike and the full-time whistle were met with astonishing celebrations at Wembley and Wiegman’s players were presented with their winners’ medals by Prince William as the partying continued.
