JUST IN: Gunmen attack police station in Enugu

Gunmen suspected to members of the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra, have reportedly attacked Isi-Uzo Divisional police station in Ikem, Enugu state, carting away arms and ammunition.

The attack which occured on Tuesday morning News Band gathered, saw the hoodlums raining barrage of bullets on police operatives on duty.

Meanwhile, at the time of filing this report, this medium cannot independently confirm if there are casualties.

The criminal elements when they stormed the police formation with a Toyota Sienna vehicle were shouting “Release Nnamdi Kanu,” “No Nnamdi Kanu, no peace”, a local source said.

Enugu police command has not issued any statement in respect to the attack.
