JUST IN: Iran launches new wave of ballistic missiles on Israel (VIDEO)

Iran has fired a new wave of ballistic missiles at Israel, Israeli military officials confirmed on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said the launches occurred overnight and continued into the late hours of  Wednesday.

Sirens blared across Tel Aviv, Haifa, and northern cities as explosions were heard in multiple locations.

This marks the sixth straight day of hostilities since Israel began “Operation Rising Lion” on June 13.

The operation targeted Iran’s nuclear and missile infrastructure, triggering full-scale retaliation from Tehran.

Since then, Iran has reportedly fired over 400 ballistic missiles and hundreds of drones at Israeli targets.

Each attack includes 30 to 60 missiles per wave, aiming to overwhelm Israeli defenses.

Israel’s multi-layered defense systems — including Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Arrow — have intercepted most projectiles.

However, IDF confirms that 5–10% of missiles are penetrating Israeli air defenses.

At least 24 Israeli civilians have died so far, with nearly 600 reported wounded, according to Israeli health authorities.

Iran says more than 200 people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes inside its territory, including in Tehran and Isfahan.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for the recent barrage.

They said the attack used “saturation tactics” designed to confuse and exhaust Israeli missile defense systems.

Israeli officials acknowledged the defense systems are not hermetic, despite their high success rate.

The IDF said it responded immediately with air and missile strikes on Iranian military installations.

These included missile launch sites, command centers, and suspected nuclear research facilities.

Footage from Iranian social media showed fires burning in Tehran and Isfahan.

Israel’s Home Front Command instructed citizens to remain in bomb shelters or protected rooms.

Authorities warned that the alert level across the country remains at its highest state since 2021.

The United Nations and multiple world leaders have called for immediate de-escalation, but neither side appears ready to back down.

U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Iran to surrender unconditionally, while Iran’s Supreme Leader vows full retaliation for any American role.

Military analysts fear that the ongoing strikes may trigger a regional war involving U.S. forces, Hezbollah, or even Gulf states.

The IDF and Iran’s armed forces remain on maximum readiness as the situation continues to deteriorate.
